I'm that girl...
the girl who was pregnant with her first baby and really, really wanted to know the sex.
the girl who awaited that 20 week appoinment with such anticipation.
the girl who openy wanted a girl and having a boy never crossed her mind.
the girl who when the day of her only sonogram arrived felt anxious and giddy.
the girl who had tears in her eyes when the sonographer told her the baby might not be cooperating.
the girl who begged her to try again because this was her only sonogram {covered by insurance}.
I'm the girl who:
squealed when the sonographer said, "it's a girl."
the girl who got right to work planning for a girl.
the girl who referred to the baby as Lulu.
I'm the girl who:
pushed for fifteen minutes in the delivery room while nurses were chanting, "Push for Lulu!"
the girl who pushed out a beautiful, strong, healthy baby boy. {Did I mention he was beautiful?}
I'm the girl who:
immediately forgot about Lulu.
the girl who begged for her baby boy right away.
the girl who really didn't care that the sonographer was wrong.
I'm the girl who God knows through and through, and he knew that this was my child, even before I did. And that was just the way it was supposed to be.

Wow. Gorgeous post, gorgeous baby, and gorgeous you!
aawww ... what a great story!
and yes, you rock the bump!
what a beautiful post!!! and you were so cute preggo!
THAT is a beautiful post! I love the way you worded so accurately the feelings of anticipation and the immediate disregard for any of it when your baby is born. Great post! And your baby bump was adorable too. :)
I love it. You grew nicely and look at that sweet result!
What a beautiful post and beautiful pictures. That picture with you and your baby boy is precious!
that was simply beautiful....wow, and those pictures, so gorgeous!
What a story!!!!!
My first didn't want to cooperate, either. I was so sure he was a girl. We found out a few weeks before he was born that he was a boy, though.
A mama's love is amazing- boy or girl.
Love how you told the story in pics! Thanks for linking up!
I got goosebumps reading this! The last photo is wonderful!
That's an amazing story! Beautiful pictures!
That actually brought tears to my eyes. I wanted the exact opposite gender with ALL three of my babies. Couldn't imagine it any differently. Of course...my sonograms were right though.
Love this story. Incidentally, it happened to a good friend of ours as well, what a surprise!
When we found out the first time we were having a boy, I had no idea what I was going to do with one, but now I can't imagine ever not having him. There is something amazing in a little boy's love for his Mama. Any day now his little sister is going to make her appearance and I am more nervous about that!
OMG! You are kidding right!? That's crazy...so you had a pink nursery that needed to be re-done?
A friend I went to elementary school had the same thing happen to her mom, the baby was suppose to be a boy but arrived a girl! Crazy!
How funny! What a great post, and lovely pictures.
oops! What a beautiful surprise! ;) Pregnancy looked good on you!
Aww...how sweet!
A mama can never be disappointed in her baby!
Awww....Ok, this post made me cry. So sweet!
How sweet!! and you were adorable pregnant :)

I still can't believe this story! Just too funny! Great post, adorable pictures!
Sweet story and I love your dress. I didn't find out either of my babies in fear the sonogram would be wrong...
Love your story!!! because same thing happened to me. y 3rd baby was on the way and I really wanted to know if he or she would be sharing a room with big brother or big sister. We were told girl, so I hand made all of the crib bedding, curtains, quilts, burp clothes and wall hangings. I just laughed when Dawson was born and the doc said, "It's a BOY!!!" It's a great story that was love to tell and it's nice to happen upon someone else who knows exactly what that moment felt like!!!
I loved everything about this post...from the beautiful belly pics to the pic at the end! That's crazy that they got the gender wrong...what a nice surprise though in the end!!
What a great story to go with your pictures. I had to find out right away too what I was having. Not sure what I would have done if doctor was wrong since everything I had for baby was pink.
What a great story! Beautiful pictures!
He is beautiful! And so are you.
Great post!!! He is so cute!!!!
Lovely post. You definitely rock that baby bump!
You know, I was supposedly a boy - named Alex - right up until the moment I was born. And then they had to scramble for names and I guess no one felt like getting creative so they just popped my grandmothers' names on me!
